Employment and Training Specialist – Re-Entry: Workforce Buffalo Downtown Career Center

This is a professional level position that is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating an integrated re-entry vocational service delivery system within the Workforce Buffalo Downtown Career Center (WBDCC). Requires specific knowledge of the services and goals of the Workforce Investment Act (WIOA) and the services and goals of WIOA Partner Agencies. Insures that re-entry customers are provided with high quality skills assessment, career planning, career counseling, case management, job search, job retention and follow-up services. Coordinates with area re-entry services and workforce partners.

The incumbent provides direct support to job seekers who are justice impacted by providing resource coordination, job coaching, resource allocation, integrated workforce development services, and referral services. The incumbent will develop and cultivate relationships with employers and community groups for the purpose of developing job opportunities on behalf of job seekers. The incumbent will maintain a professional, productive environment for customers.

Salary: $50,000-$60,000.
