Business Services OJT Specialist

Performs specialized administrative, programmatic, and business-services functions in support of the Buffalo and Erie County Workforce Development Consortium, Inc. (WDC) and Workforce Buffalo. The OJT Specialist is primarily responsible for the development, coordination, processing, monitoring, and administration of the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program and related employer-based training initiatives.

The position works closely with Business Services Specialists, employers, job seekers, New York State Department of Labor (DOL), and other workforce partners to develop OJT opportunities, prepare and maintain OJT contracts and related documentation, monitor participant progress, maintain accurate program records, and ensure timely completion of required reports and documentation.

The OJT Specialist is expected to exercise independent judgment, maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively with employers and workforce partners, and provide professional and responsive customer service. The position requires strong organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The position requires regular travel to employer locations, job fairs, career fairs, community events, and other off-site business and workforce activities. The employee must have reliable access to and use of their own personal vehicle for required business-related travel.

Salary $47,000
