Community Coordinator

This is a professional-level position that requires the use of significant independent judgment and inter personal skills to develop community relationships, career opportunities and track the achievements and career goals of organizational programs and services, as well as strong communication skills. This position also requires the individual to interpret both written, digital and oral information regarding the requirements of specific occupations and the vocational/occupational skills.

The Community Coordinator’s work will involve assisting board advisory committees, and the Workforce Investment Board programs and services, in planning, coordinating and implementing community outreach and activities which address the needs of workforce system employers and jobseekers.

The Community Coordinator will be responsible for data collection and analysis, representing our organization at community events, organizing, and advertising center events, and developing, managing, and dispersing informational material for WIB and workforce system partner services. The Community Coordinator must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as wellas handling administrative duties, website/database management and social media knowledge. The Community Coordinator will be evaluated on their success in securing and maintaining community relationships, creatinga social media presence, connecting jobseekers to WIB programs and services, assisting with the development and implementation of a communication and outreach strategic plan.  Salary $55,000-$60,000
