Summary of
BETC Services to Employers
The Buffalo Employment and
Training Center is Buffalo’s
One-Stop Career Center and is
certified by the New York State
Department of Labor as a
Workforce New York Career
Center.
BETC’s services are FREE and
available to employers looking to
fill positions with qualified job
candidates. Available services
include:
- Job Matching and On- Site
Recruitment. A database of
qualified workers, experienced and
entry-level, is available to help
find the worker that is right for
your company.
- Screening of job applicants.
Skill levels of job applicants can
be tested and matched to employer
specifications.
- Breakfast Clubs. Employers
looking to fill positions can make
presentations at BETC to job
seekers, with time and space
provided for on-site interviews of
qualified candidates.
- Many Partner Agencies,
including the NYS Department of
Labor, are located on-site to
provide true one-stop career
“shopping” that allows employers
to tap into job seekers from many
partner agencies.
- Looking to work with 14 to 21
year olds…youth services are also
located on-site providing
in-school and out-of-school youth
with job readiness training and
educational services through BETC
Youth Services, Job Corps,
Catholic Charities Tomorrow’s
Youth Today, and Buffalo
YouthWorks Programs.
